Ruan Potts and Jidel MMA

Monday evening saw Ruan Potts visit Jidel. FANSTASTIC . Ruan join in Jidel senior judo class and then gave a 2 hour master class session. Ruan session was the offical launch of Jidel's MMA class every Monday and Friday which starts at 7.45pm. Everyone was blown away with the contents of the session. Jidel really appreciate Ruan brother Kurt who arranged for Ruan to take time out of his busy schedule while over in Great Britian, to fly up to Scotland and take this one off session for Jidel.

Jidel wish Ruan all the best in the up coming BJJ championships and his next cage fight in Johannesburg, South Africa in June.

The whole club will watching online and supporting you Ruan.

GB selection

A HUGE congratulations to Aaron J and Nicky Lou J and John Ludick for being selected to represent Great Britian in Beverwijk in April. Jidel wish them both the best of luck and will keep everyone informed of there progress.

Annual Presentations and Awards

Jidel are please to announce their first ever Annual Presentation and Awards.

Jidel Awards" In the Sprite of Judo" have been divided into 5 categories as follows: MonStars, Under 8's, Under 11's Under 14's and Disability Judo which has been split into Junior and Senior categories.

The winners are:

MonStars: Samuel McEwan (Cragiswood)

Under 8's: Niamh B (Craigswood) and Douglas S (Currie)

Under 11's: Amie S (Muireston) and Sam Morewood (Ratho)

Under 14's: Meaghan J (Craigswood) and Euan F (Broxburn)

Disability Judo:

Junior Niamh Mc (Kirkliston) and Jack B (Kirkliston)

Senior Aaron J (Craigswood ) and Kathleen I (Royal Blind School)

A big thank to our 2 outstanding Volunteers, who without them you would all go hungry at Jidel Mix and Matches.
