Saturday 27th August saw Jidel Special Needs and Disability players competing in Largs at the British Special Needs Judo Open Championships. Jidel's players were fantastic gaining an amazing amount of medals 5 Silver 3 Bronze and 1 Complimentry Gold. Coache's Jo and Johnny are so very impressed with the amount of hard work and commitment from them all. We are really looking forward to the squad heading off to Venray in Holland in November, for some Jidel Players this will be their first international competiton. Scottish Championship success for Jidel Duo sets up a head to head race for Jidel first ever AAA Golden Star Award. Gold's for Ryan F and Tomi I at the Scottish Age Band Championships at the weekend which was held at the Ravenscraigs Sports Facilities in Motherwell. This will see the duo head south to the British Age Band A championships on the 9th October, both are look to secure the Golden Star. Jidel other gold medal winner Storm I win round 2 of the Big 5 leauge as she attempts to become the frirst ever player to win all 5 top cadet championships in one season. Coaches Jo and Johnny were very impressed with the medal haul over the last 2 weekends, especial Storm.
